Warnings & Tips
Some friendly advice:
Be careful of fixed pages
Sometimes pages on a site are "hard coded" into the fixed website templates. For instance, the link to the privacy page at the bottom of each page in the demo site is an example of this. It's best not to delete any of the fixed pages on the site or the templates will need to be updated. However it's not a disaster if you do - templates are easy to update using normal HTML.
Updating a page overwrites old content and there is no "undo"
Changes can't be reversed after saving, so be sure you want to save your changes before hitting the Update button.
Keep backups of pages you're working on
It's a good idea to keep backups of pages before editing them. You can copy or backup pages by selecting all, copying to clipboard, creating a new page and pasting the information.
Be careful of sensitive content
Once you have saved a page, it is potentially visible on the Internet if someone guesses the content ID - even if it is not set as Active. (The active status only governs whether or not the page appears in navigation.) Do not store sensitive or private data in your EZ-Web. More tips coming soon...
